Now. What's happened to everyone?

Hello you all. How's everyone been?? Seems that we're really, seriously all over the place now - being shipped to Australia, America and Singapore. Hope those adopted countries been treating you well. It's Spring here in Melbourne, it's definitely warmer than it was last month. It kinda reminds you of Singapore on a good day, just a few degrees cooler and the sky's a clearer, brighter blue. It almost feels like home. Almost.

My exams are soon. At the end of the month anyway. Earlier than everyone else here in Melbourne, so I think I should get down to getting work done but ah, the joys of having to stay at home and do absolutely nothing beckons. hee. I'm become this absolutely lazy, jaded of school kinda little person. Caffeine is keeping me running - or so my friend Barbara says, it's the Australian way of life. I won't argue though if it's the same in the States. How's the States anyway? The world is so big and there's still so many places left to explore. Maybe, we all should have travel diaries. That would be fun.

So, i'll be home soon. Those all the way in America, tag me here if you guys want goodies to help you tide over the semester exams and those back home...i'll be free for coffee soon, if you need a break from all that mugging.

I'll live to see the day. Dreaded exams.

Back from 11 days of non-stop, no-time-to-breathe, utter-chaos International Physics Olympiad action at the Meritus Mandarin and all around Singapore. I think I could sleep forever.

Updates on the way!

Standard Chartered 06

Hello hello.

Greetings from cold and wintry melbourne.

Hope everyone's ok. I miss home. boo.

As promised, I'm trying to get like a whole group of us to run the Standard Chartered marathon at the end of the year - if not the 21, it'll be the 42.

BUT BUT BUT BUT

if you just wanted to do the 10k one, that's fine too. And trust me, 10k's pretty quick coz' you can walk too!! ah ha.

Registration is opening on the 21st July already and it's good to get in early because they have discounts or something for the early birdies.
Plus, if you took part in it last year, there's a further discount.

It'll happen on the 3rd Dec, which is a Sunday.

so let's go ok??
I'm definitely definitely doing it.

So let me know if you're coming
Tag me here.

I have a proposition. ROAD TRIP!! Somewhere in July, when everyone is back, let's take a couple of cars and drive up to Malaysia - Batam, Penang, KL, Langkawi, you name the place - and have a council holiday!!! It will be amazing. We can play the sing-song ad lib game again, and Isaac and Josh can serenade us into the night, and we can light a campfire in our hotel room (light a teddy bear on fire and send it down a wire anyone?) and have pillowfights and umm trashing out sessions and eat ourselves silly, and do the WEEEEEEEEE cheer. you get the idea. Who's up for it? Raise your hand! with three fingers!

some fun pics!

I like the sound of "Council Room Online"! Heh.

These are our masterpieces! Yans, Shan and I did them the night before Fun-O-Rama at Shan's place, and Hannah did hers at her place! Nice hor? Look like the original okkkk.

I don't have quite a lot of photos of the pandemonium at the Corporate Gift store, so I shall just post some photos of our dearest Uncle Eng Chee getting dunked. He looks so dainty sitting there. Starting bid $400 can?? Madness. Yang Shen conned his council.
He's protesting Yang Shen allowing an additional $100 for him to take off his shirt!
One of the shots. All 3 missed. =P
Wet in the end cos one of them pushed the lever when all the shots missed!

Yans please add when you can!

Wah biang eh, cannot take it ah, whole day ang moh here ang moh there. Anyway ah, you all are looking good man. All the chio bu shuai ge, wah, even after army also the guys never come back with face like pimple plantation, not bad sia!

Anyway, I miss home so much that this is what I have been doing with my time:
Image hosting by Photobucket

What am I doing? I have been taking pictures of food.

Cos when I see anything that is remotely like Singaporean cuisine, I get mega macham excited, and pull out my trusty digicam. I think I have about 20 pictures of that plate of Chicken Rice, and probably 34 of the rota prata. And second from left, I present to you fako-pseudo-American-made Yu Sheng and crazy UPenn (and 2 Vassar) Singaporeans on a lo hei frenzy on the weekend of Chinese New Year. And first from right I present an almost empty bowl of prima-mix curry, devoured in the space of seconds at the hands of home(food)sick Sporeans. (This all happened when I went to visit Martin Stevenson Yu and Caleb at Upenn on a weekend with Ashley Tay. Wah, see I how good, even 15243 km away from Singapore also can have Council reunion! 2 generations some more! Don't pray pray ah. And next week Becky darling and I will be hitting it up in New York at the AC Founder's Day Reunion dinner with 40 or so other ACSians on the east coast. I tell you, these AC people are seriously die hard hard core.)

So hallo everyone, from the frigid lands of Poughkeepsie!! I miss you all very very much, and hope you're all doing well back at good ol' home. Yans and Gloria, will I get to see you in June? I MISS YOU BOTH!! How is Australia? Sam, and COOLIO BUDDYY!!! you guys better get your pantats over here soon, because we are going to have a crazy 27ths reunion on the east coast, where we will drive around and shout "PANGSAI" out of the window to Americans and they will smile back at us and wave hi! And hello Boss (yes Jiawei, that is you), I haven't talked to you for so so long, I miss you and all our PR crap! And to everyone else in NUS/SMU/NTU/Army, hello hello hello hello and hello.

I miss you guys. I really do.

Thus ends my first (overzealous and fanatic) post. and can I just say, wah lang si AC pa buay toh ah!! (Acherly I don't know what that means, but nemind lah, it sounds good.)
